Tech Talk – Don’t Design by Change Paper

Join us for the first ACDM Tech Talk as we discuss the pitfalls of releasing designs too early and then maturing those designs with Change Paper instead of completing normal design maturity. We will discuss these aspects in a 20-30 minute presentation, followed by approx. 30 minutes for your questions & answers from subject matter experts in the field of CM.

Joe Roman is on Senior Staff for Lockheed Martin, MS2 in Mooretown, NJ. His duties utilize his knowledge and experience in Configuration and Data Management as a contributing Subject Matter Expert. He was a contributing author of GEIA/ANSI – 859, 859 Handbook and DAU DM Courseware. He is currently contributing as an author of an Information Management Standard.


Terry has worked in CM/DM since 1978; first in the computer peripheral industry then in aerospace starting with then Hughes Helicopters in 1984 and continuing with McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing in the Military Aircraft – Vertical Lift division. Terry has held management positions for both the CM and DM functions within Boeing and at Evans & Sutherland. He is currently the Tech Lead for the Configuration Status Accounting Process & Tools group (CSA P&T) working with the PDM team to support the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) requirements for the Apache and ELB/AH-6 Programs.


Tom is President of TPT Technologies, Inc. doing business as CMstat. In addition to his responsibilities as President he also leads the functions of Strategic Planning, Business Development, Operations and Financial Planning within CMstat.

Dan has over 30 years of experience with military and commercial programs in the fields of Configuration and Data Management, first with Hughes and McDonnell Douglas Helicopters, and since 1989, at Boeing Commercial Airplanes for Configuration and Change Management, Audits, and Regulatory Compliance for Systems Engineering and Change Management.
